Tortillas

Ingredients

  • 3 cups AP flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 stick softened butter
  • 1 cup hot water

Directions

  1. Mix flour, baking powder, salt and butter until flour is a sandy texture
  2. Slowly add hot water and mix together with hands in the bowl
  3. Knead until it forms a ball for 2-3 minutes
  4. Remove from bowl and knead dough ball for 10 min
  5. Put in a ball, cover with plastic wrap and let rest for 20 min
  6. Pinch off a golf ball size balls and roll on the table
  7. Flatten into rounds on a lightly floured surface
  8. Cook on pan (cast iron) until browned on each side
